A/N: This is a post-campaign one exploration of Pike dealing with Wilhand’s death. There’s some heavy stuff in it, but writing it helped me get through a rough time.
The light shines bright around her, so bright.
She reaches out as far as she can to try and grab it, her fists closing on glacial, empty air. It should be warm, shouldn’t it? Shouldn’t she feel heat erupt through her chest? The blessing of Sarenrae has always been a warm thing. A gentle thing. But that doesn’t make sense, because the beams are hitting her body now, enveloping her hands, and all she can feel is cold—
the thing about aziraphale is that he does care, and care deeply, but the process of getting him to give an active shit is going to take six thousand years of constant vocalized existential crisis and extended space bird metaphors. then he’ll fight satan for you.
I finally got around to reading Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, and of course I loved it. There’s plenty more I’d like to draw but goodness, there are too many great characters in this book.
Unpopular opinion maybe but you can’t blame people for not knowing how to help you. Not everyone is equipped with the intuitive knowledge. Some people just don’t know. And frankly, many of us are confused, all of us are trying our best and NONE of us has all the answers.
